We know that the Romulans have and use Plasma torpedoes. Technology which they've had for a long time. Also in Enterprise, Phase Pistols were not in wide use. Most people (Including MACOs) used plasma rifles and pistols. And he Borg were still able to overrun that research station in "Regeneration"

 

 

 

I've got to (re)watch the episode, but were they adapting? The kinetic issue is still pretty damning, especially given how common-place the issue is.

 

 

 

Watched the episode. There is only possible evidence of two plasma shots being fired, and since the rest of the episode is basically a demolition of TNG borg and an admission of every weakness of the borg... maybe this isn't the best cite.

 

 

 

Of course, bringing up that episode also introduces other continuity issues, but I'll just dismiss those with the refreain of the continuity concerned trekkie. (The Writers are idiots!)

Good point. Although there seems to be very little evidence that the coolent is that cold. We don't know where in the loop the coolant was, either. It could very well have been the return loop, and the placement would certainly imply that.
