On planet Imperial Gaurd just colonize one Colonist infect fachugger before the problem spill out control.

Entire colony something like 150 people unknown number children. The Imperial Man verse such colony somewere between 205 adult include 50 people police force 500 and 1,000 children. Another 5 people be send Imperial guard fight for them.  One possible Police armed will enough able to weapon least kill these things. Other possible is something 10 guns to 20 guns available face it off. Police vehicle provide air support.

 

First the Imperial Men who said entire get out control first place they bad enough might even kill the personal infect not get off him out right.  One case  brutal save lot lives

 

Second possible it is possible able to hold on. Until help arrive likely clean mess themselves. Colony likely security fence weapon not up task at hand. How big force would they need over run 156 colonist maybe another 156 children on top guess every person marry. Aliens much stronger best sense going on around them. Of course 20 enough in practice guard the communication system so the human call for help go enforce. Include some self sacrificing break though defense. Police force weapon likley up to task armed laser guns.  Even not still armory were training weapon just powerful likelihood as Imperial guard men guns.  

 

Third possible colony fall just the same Imperial Guard never show up. Police force fail simple having great number weapon task does insure anything might have enough end of the day.

Considering that the guard faces Tyranids - who are like xenomorphs crossed with the bugs from Starship Troopers, and then given psychic powers, and actually manages to win against them, the xenos are largely toast.  It'd be similar to any Genestealer infestation, only without the threat of a Hive Fleet showing up later.
