I'm honestly surprised that this didn't get at least SOMEONE commenting on it.

Warhammer 40k Imperial Gaurd planet having problem Movie Aliens
Khas replied to Jason's topic in Versus Debates
Considering that the guard faces Tyranids - who are like xenomorphs crossed with the bugs from Starship Troopers, and then given psychic powers, and actually manages to win against them, the xenos are largely toast. It'd be similar to any Genestealer infestation, only without the threat of a Hive Fleet showing up later.- 1 reply

On some barely M-class planet, there exists a civilization which has discovered a highly efficient way to harvest Tiberium. Seeing this advanced tech, the Borg move in and prepare to assimilate it. However, during the invasion, the natives detonate a Liquid Tiberium bomb, in an attempt to drive the Borg off. The explosion grabs the attention of the Scrin, who decide that this means it's time to come in and harvest the Tiberium. However, hostilities immediately erupt with the Borg, and now, the two races fight for control of the planet. Who wins? The hive-minded cyber-zombies from hell (Borg)? Or the post-singularity, genocidal meth-fiends (Scrin)?

There's also the reason that the Vulcans were deliberately holding Earth back. -

Aaaaaannnnndddd..... CLUSTERBOMB!!!! First up, is Two-Headed Chippendale Ernie! Specialman. Why yes, he IS Special. Man, Goofy got RIPPED. Why does this feel like the Return of the Silver Age? You're not even TRYING anymore, are you? What is this I don't even Imperial Hip Hop Troopers. Looks to me like SOMEONE likes Star Wars Kinect a little too much. Which is to say, they like Star Wars Kinect. This just speaks for itself: Lemme guess, his "Adventure" consists of trying to avoid pissing himself? No... Just... NO. NO.

Huh. Been a while since I've delved into Pokemon. Should be interesting. Well, IIRC, Ditto would be an absolute nightmare to fight, considering that that Pokemon's shape-shifting abilities are on par with a Founder's. Although, the cloud of smoke coming from the shape-shifting would be a dead give-away. The Legendary Birds (Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno) would also be hell to fight - especially for the xenomorphs, who, as far as I know, don't have any airborne forms. The Predators might get luckier, considering that they have actual ranged weapons, but hitting one with enough firepower to bring them down is going to be tricky - again, going by memory. This might actually be an interesting thread.

The sad thing is, that probably IS an accurate assessment of what would happen if RD showed up. Though if Pinkie Pie showed up, I'd probably call in a General Order 24/Base Delta Zero/Exterminatus. Thus, I'D win.

Part reason Rebal able stand up Star War Empire was because Empire build fighter did spend lot resource on fighters
Khas replied to Jason's topic in The Nexus
Well, the Death Star and Star Destroyers weren't cheap, seeing as the Empire DID need powerful, heavily defended warships and a planet killer. But then, Star Destroyers were designed to carry a LOT of TIE Fighters, and when you want to carry a lot of something - especially in space, you want it to be as lightweight as possible. Not to mention TIE Fighters were made just to Zerg Rush enemies. Other TIE Variants, like the TIE Advanced (Darth Vader's fighter), TIE Interceptor, and TIE Bomber, IIRC, had shields, but then, that was according to the Old EU. -

It would have been the SMART thing to do. But not the COST-EFFECTIVE one. And considering that the Empire had admirals like Ozzel in its ranks, well.... -

You're right Jason. Playing "One Direction" songs WOULD be enough to take out a TIE Fighter. By making their pilots want to crash into things just to stop the music. In all seriousness though, yeah, giving TIEs shields would have been the smart thing to do. But TIEs were built for Zerg Rush "tactics", and shields would increase the cost of production. And the Empire likes being as cheap as possible. -
We also have... Whatever the hell this thing is:
