  1. I know this is late, but I feel it's important to post here, as it marks the return-to-canon status of: Grand Admiral Thrawn.
  2. Or, more likely, it's because the Borg think that everyone else is so far beneath them, that they usually never bother sending more than one cube at a time. And you know what? Usually, they're right.
  3. Been dead for a while. We need to shake this board up.
  4. Actually, I'd place "The Force Awakens" over all the Prequels - though I will admit that "Revenge of the Sith" was decent.
  5. Just got back from seeing it. Wow. Just wow. This is what the prequels should have been like.
  6. Alright, same "Capture the Flag" nonsense fight, but with different contestants. The fighters: Joseph Joestar Brain Guy Snowflame Saul Tigh General Martok Fred Sanford Leonardo Leonardo (from Leonardo, New Jersey) Matt Foley Sgt. Avery Johnson Garrus Vakarian Barney Gumble Sylvanas Windrunner Weiss Schnee Tyrion Lannister Baldrick Who wins?
  7. The theory was that life started on Mars over 4 billion years ago, hitched a ride on a rock that was blasted from Mars by a volcanic eruption or asteroid impact, ended up crashing here on Earth, and blossomed on Earth while Mars went dormant.

  10. Alright, we all know "Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight" sucked (aside from the soundtrack). I mean, as a standalone, it might not have been so bad, but as the grand finale to the Command & Conquer: Tiberium saga, it was an utter disgrace - what kind of RTS game eliminates base-building and resource-gathering? Not to mention the plot - talk about an excuse (GDI and Nod working together for flimsy reasons - give us a good reason for them to cooperate, like in Firestorm or the latter half of Tiberium Wars!), and the bad guys being extremists in both groups? Yawn. No, what we need is a complete re-tool. First, concerning Kane's Ascension plot: considering that this was hinted at back all the way in Tiberian Sun (in the final Nod cutscene), and first actually mentioned in Tiberium Wars, we should keep it. Now, as for the reasons GDI and Nod would work together? Well, instead of the contrived version we saw in C&C 4, we should do something that was hinted at at the end of Kane's Wrath. The Scrin return for a second invasion of Earth, and now GDI, Nod, and even the Forgotten all band together to drive them off. The plot would revolve around the tension between the three groups as they struggle to put aside their differences, despite decades of bad blood between them. Also, another thing that was hinted at in Kane's Wrath. The return of CABAL. Yes, bring back everyone's favorite deranged A.I. and his cyborg army. Have him catch humanity off-guard, and then we'll have a plot for GDI, Nod, and the Forgotten to piss off the Scrin and CABAL in each other's directions, and watch the fireworks. Once the Scrin are driven off, and CABAL has been shut down for good, maybe we'll have a brief conflict break out over who gets control of the Tacitus. No matter the outcome, though, the ending is the same. Kane and some of his most trusted followers ascend, while a decent-sized remnant of Nod remains behind, to keep GDI on their toes. Meanwhile, GDI gets the Tacitus, decodes it, and finds a way to bring Tiberium under control AND undo the damage to Earth's biosphere caused by Tiberium. The Forgotten are finally accepted by normal humans, CABAL is deleted by LEGION, and at the very end, we cut to a group of Scrin looking at Earth, before putting the planet on their "Not Worth It" list, and ordering their fleet to fight some unknown menace. What do you think? Can this be improved? Post ideas below.

    Liquid Water found on Mars

It could, but the water is so salty that most microbes would have a hard time living in it. Still, that doesn't mean native Martian microbes aren't all halophiles (love extremely salty environments). And Mars' soil is a lot more fertile than previously thought, so maybe there's still life there.
  12. Rather than just making a "versus" match, in this thread, we'll talk about how best to do a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover video game. Well, two games, actually. The first would be an RTS game (ala StarCraft, Command & Conquer, etc.), while the other would be an FPS/Space Flight Simulator Hybrid - like Star Wars: Battlefront II. I'll start. Well, there would be at least five factions for each game- Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Rebel, and Empire. The question we ask first is "Do we add other factions?", and if so, what would they be? The second, is regarding the resource system for the RTS game. Obviously, ore would be the main resource, with dilithium and tibanna gas used for more special buildings, units, and upgrades. Power would also be a resource, and would come from building reactors. Now, the question for RTS resources is - do we specialize dilithium and tibanna - so that only the Federation, Klingons, and Romulans can use dilithium and only the Rebels and Empire can use Tibanna, or do we set it so that all factions use all resources? Now, there's the Faction Calculus. Basically, this determines the style of play for each faction. What I'm leaning toward is this: Federation - Balanced (aka Jack of all Trades) Klingon - Powerhouse (relies on units that dish out and take a lot of damage) Romulan - Subversive (relies on stealth, special abilities, and subterfuge) Rebel - Cannons (relies on speed and mobility - good for blitzkriegs, bad for sieges) Empire - Horde (relies on large numbers of cheap units, with a few strong ones here and there) Now, what are your thoughts on this?

    Toy Set Fails

Bump. Apparently, there was a transporter accident. Much like how Tuvok and Neelix got merged into "Tuvix", only this time: It was SpongeBob and Pikachu...

    Toy Set Fails

Anyone ever remember the time when Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Naruto teamed up to fight crime? No? Well these guys do: And who could ever forget the time when Lightning McQueen (who's apparently yellow now), the Yellow Power Ranger, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and Shrek joined up to form the "Sense of Right Alliance"?
  16. It's also possible that they just didn't have the budget - or really, the need - to show ground combat vehicles that much until DS9.
  17. No. It's closer to the land before time.

  20. In the aftermath of the Third Tiberium War - with the Brotherhood of Nod's uprising quelled, and the Scrin Invasion thwarted, the Global Defense Initiative prepares to rebuild what was lost in that terrible war. While re-building Munich after it was razed by the Scrin, however, some disturbing documents are uncovered. Ancient texts, with Nod symbols on them, that tell of an invading demonic army. While initially dismissed, odd things start happening. Strange cults are appearing, performing bizarre rituals - rituals that open portals in the fabric of space and time, and call forth strange creatures - creatures that can only be described as demons. It isn't long before the Burning Legion invades in full force. Now, allied with remnants of Nod, GDI must defend Earth from yet another invasion. Can they drive the demons back? Or does Earth become another Legion World? And what effects does Fel energy have when it meets Tiberium?
