With the exception of Trelayne's parents, no one has shown to leave their planet. Did Sisko or Dukat showed abilities to pose a threat to a Force user? The Feds fought the Klingons later on yet the Organians did not interfere. Is it because they chose not to interfere or is it that the fight was beyond their sphere of influence? Prophets could be dealt with by shutting the wormhole. The Organians could be dealt with by a liberal use of the Death Star at a far enough range that the Organians would not be able to do anything. The only one that would succeed is Trelayne. Somehow defeat him and his parents will show up and wipe out the SW fleet

So? Shep was not different. Go read what he did over at ASVS and read the posts Graeme made about him. Attacked his father with a shotgun, AFAIK made threats to Wong about his kids(fuzzy on that). He was and still an overall asshole that had been banned once over at SDN but he got the chance to redeem himself (but I do think that eventually he'll get himself banned). RayCav never got that far. The board thought he was gross and dropped him fast and hard. I do think that if allowed back in, that he'd do well. Just thinking that he'll never change is quite frankly stupid beyond belief. Nevertheless, I'm more tolerant of others than you are. You don't like him then fine. It isn't like I'll be clubbing with him but plain faceless conversation.

Well then you haven't been paying attention. Ask anyone that remembers ASVS. When I first started I was a true ST fan. Later I realized that SW would trounce ST. What type of star was it? It has been a while so I don't remember. How far away was the E-D? Also remember "as much as the energy of billions of megatons of TNT" means diddly squat. We know the E-D's shields would not withstand the upper range of a solar flare. So it'll go from "ahh pretty lights but does nothing else" to "Pfft there goes the Enterprise". Metaphasic shielding was used only twice. Once in "Suspicions" and the other was that ep with Lore and the stranded Borg. But that form of shielding for all intents and purposes is useless as the Feds never incorporated such technology nor has the E-D used it permanently. Also, was "Relics" aired before or after "Suspicions"?
