.....maybe. Just done bet your life on it.

Yes long enough for a TL shot or five to destroy the Defiant. Plus the TIEs can attack at DS's blindspots like the top and bottom. Also, what makes you think that the torps would be able to hit the TIEs when those fighters are a lot more nimble than the torpedoes? As for the DS moving, it doesn't have to that much to mess up the lock. It could just rotate on it's axis and position the vent away from the torps. Your last sentence makes no sense whatsoever. If it was that easy then why didn't the rebels do that?

Designed and yet fail against the Borg. Remember "First Contact"?

Howedar hasn't been at SDN for over two years and I can't any members under the name TimC. There is a TimothyC, I think that is who you are referring to? He's at testingstan and SDN.
-
And the TIE fighters are going to just sit there and let it happen? Or that the DS remains perfectly still?
-
I think this fits more for TGOD than STGOD.

Basically they did something that the deflector shield wasn't built for. Not exactly handy in battle if it is going to trash your shields.

I've talked PM'd the guy that activated my account and he doesn't mind you joining up even though he said he was going to ask to make sure. Most of the people there joined SDN after you were banned and therefore only know you by reutation. Plus Dalton as far as I know hasn't joined testingstan.

There more to dense materials that can interfere with transporters. Heavy enough interference by certain energy sources can mess up transporters. Quote from absoluteastronomy.com

So any magnetic or radioactive or any type of interference suddenly vanishes just because there's an exhaust port?

Revisiting "Pegasus": Firepower calculations...

Even if the max size of the asteroids being vaped were 70m in diameter that is still 2.6 megatons per shot by a MTL. As for the RoF, you mentioned one per second and I just used it. In Wong's site, he uses the RoF for the MTL as one per two seconds as a conservative number but easily can be one per second. LTL's Rof is somewhere at 2-3 shots per second. Why can't an ISD fire all weapons at the same time? They've got it why not use them? But since I doubt they could bear all of them at one target, most likely they can bear one broadside at a time. Still 100 TLs is still overkill. You think that the ISD's RoF is the equivalent of a Spanish Galleon? Get real. Overall the ISD can pump out more energy out of it's weapons than the E-D. -
You weren't clear before. We can speculate that there was a feedback\splashback resulting in shield damage or that power was being shunted from shields to the deflector so the longer they fired the deflector dish the more energy being drained away from the shields?

Some of the asteroids dwarfed the MF and they were vaped. You do not get it do you? The vaping of asteroids ranging up to 100meters shows what they can do if they fired all TLs. One shot each at the same time is overkill to the 6km asteroid. Something the Feds would fail at. -

The Trade Federation could kick the Fed's ass with no trouble at all. Also, if the Empire were to plan ahead and built a fleet for domination in the ST galaxy then any potential losses would trivial. As for what type of TL was used, on Wong's page he says they were MTL. He's got a page dealing about TL characteristics and so forth. The spec sheet mentioned batteries. Still one per sec for MTLs (more for LTL and less for HTLs of course) is still enough to vaporize the asteroid, whereas the E-D uses almost it's entire compliment of torpedoes to just fragment the asteroid. This also shows how strong the ISDs are. It has been mentioned that the ISDs are built to withstand the recoil of their own weapons. As for the scaling, starwars.com stated that they went for 114 feet or about 35 meters. That would lower the MTLs firepower by a bit but still way above the Federation. -
Why not? The majority only know you by reputation and besides, testingstan suits you to a T.

Well RayCav and Legendm can sign up and spread the gospel that is ASVS! Preach on brothers! Preach on!
-
Too much if you ask me.
-
SDN knows of this site but is largely ignored. RayCav and Legendm, why don't you guys sign up and check out that testingstan webforum that Legendm posted the link for. I know that some are looking for good ol'Schuyler Colfax.
-
Ahh. Do you know how much it is going for at the moment?
-
So it is just going to be shut down then? I guess that would be the next best thing for Mike.
-
Shhhh. No one is supposed to know! *drags away another body for burial*
-
If the cloak works against SW sensors. Wouldn't the DS detect gravitic distortions from the Defiant?

He was stupid to decimate Testing (hell, Shep is practically gloating over that and since he's now a full blown mod, he's reminding everyone in Testing that anything that is posted is temporary and will be nuked. As if we didn't know that. Every post made in Testing was subject to an autoprune since it's inception yet Shep gloats by reminding us of the obvious.), and it was retarded to shut down the HoC. HoC was basically a suggestion box. The Senate I agreed that it needed to be shut down. Many of them couldnt agree a course of action in Stark's case. Plus the rules for which one can get in was idiotic to say the least. Shep became a mod and yet was automatically made a Senator and his first course of action was to try to get rid of Stark by flat out lying and was too lazy to do actual research. As much as I hate Stark, at least he was elected and made the Senate interesting. Whereas Shep if he wasn't a mod, would never have been elected into the Senate. Bah!
-
If Mike ends up owning it then everyone there will be banned and then thoroughly ridiculed in every possible and impossible way.
-
You do know that the Senate as of this moment has been nuked. Mike got pissed off and locked it. I think he's planning to overhaul it and start over.
