  1. 1,000 years in existence or years of peace? Which one did the movie state?
  2. But there's no evidence that it couldn't either since the only way to find out is to activate it. It was activated once but it was quickly deactivated by Luke Skywalker because he did not want to take the chance that the superweapon would work. The only way to find out is to go to another universe and detonate it. The GE has stepped up their game and have star system destroying weapons. But within the parameters of this scenario the GE would still win.
  3. I haven't seen that many TCW episodes but that link is the first time I've seen a warship come out of hyperspace. Pretty freaky. One moment there's nothing and then the next *POP* warships firing up your asshole.

    TCW: Continuity nightmare?

I'm guessing that by giving Anakin a padawan to train, the Council is hoping that it will mellow him out and become less impulsive and reckless? Get him to become less of a hot head?
  5. Care to elaborate? Empire has up to 150 000 inhabited systems, but I don't think it has more than 300 million to few billion men in army total. Plus it does not recruit aliens, wich reduces its recruitment base, althought it is still vastly greater than that of UFP. On the other hand, UFP has ~1150 planets. If all other powers have similar count, then it is ~3500 planetrs total. However, most of planets in both sides seem to be relatively lightly populated - while some UFP colonies are probably near Earth in population, most are much smaller. Also, Star Wars planets seem to vary from city worlds to planets with population density less than that of modern-day Canada or Russia. As for military, here: http://picard578.hos...n/military.html While Empire has much larger manpower, you must remember that Republic enjoyed peace for 1000 years (during its entire lifetime) while Alpha Quadrant powers were constantly at, or under threat of, war with someone (including each other). Meaning that they will probably be much more militarized than Empire is, alhought Empire is probably more militarized than Republic. You seem to forget that the Old Republic has been around for 25,000 years, not 1,000. 1,000 years would be the number of years the OR has been in relative peace not its entire existence. The GE has had upwards of 25,000 ISDs alone. This number does not include countless smaller ships and several larger ships. UFPA cannot match them. Does the UFPA have a star system dedicated in building starships? GE has at least one, the Kuat Drive Yards. Then there's the Rendili StarDrive. Besides having their major shipyards over Rendili, they have numerous smaller yards spread out throughout the Mid and Outer Rims. They've also have the Corellian Engineering Corporation and the Sienar Fleet systems (I think I got that name right). I find it extremely laughable that you consider the UFPA to be more militarized than the GE. The Klingons maybe, since they built their society around a warrior's code but the Romulans and the UFP are not in any way more militarized than the GE. The UFP does not have a free stranding army, a conscripted army or even a combination of both. They rely on orbital superiority before sending their officers and security personnel down to the planet. They have equipment and weaponry to outfit one, yet there's no indication that they have one. The entire lifespan of the GE and its successive incarnations have constantly been embroiled in conflict in some form or another. The UFP on the other hand have lapsed into a peace time stance after every conflict (save for the Dominion War since that may have finally shaken the UFP to its core, but then again we don't have any canonical data of post-Dominion War era). You want to see a more militarized Federation? Then see Yesterday's Enterprise. THAT is a UFP that is militarized. Going by memory, the E-D looked like it had armour, it was heavily armed and could carry upwards of 6,000 troops. This would indicate that the UFP of YE era actually had an army. The UFPA would lose very badly against the GE. EDIT: As for your narrow minded mentality as to what constitutes a unit, remember that unit can be comprised of more than one individual. You've heard of the family unit? One family but it is comprised of more than one individuals. Then there's the army unit. Here's The Free Dictionary's thesaurus definition of the army unit. Now where does it say that it has to mean only one individual per unit?
  6. Steering the topic back on hand, attributing super-weapons belonging to each side, the GE will still win due to sheer wank. As mentioned before, weapons like the Sun Crusher and the Centerpoint Station can render countless UFPA star systems useless either by blowing them up or in the case of the CS, grab the planet and toss it into a star and on top of that the GE's sheer industrial capacity to build DSs, ISDs and the like will seriously put a crimp in the UFPA's plans. As for outside power superweapons, while the ST side has V'Ger, SW side has the Shawken Device. A bomb that was designed to destroy the whole universe by blowing up a planet and shunting the fragments into hyperspace where it would quickly collide with other planets\stars\what have you, until all matter was destroyed. Though it is pure speculation that it could work since obviously if it did then there'd be no SW universe. lol The UFP cannot win since they are not of the mindset to develop superweapons and would most likely be horrified at the thought and would probably stop other powers from developing their own. The GE has no such mindset. They gleefully develop weapons that would and have caused wanton death and destruction.

  9. Kirk? Just get him on a bridge and then blow its supports. Refresh my memory of VGER's capabilites? Isn't that also not part of UFP arsenal? What I've posted are what the Empire in its various forms created. I have not included superweapons from other races. I do not know of the double helix weapon. Is it a Fed Alliance weapon?
  10. I'm going by Wookieepedia (yeah, yeah, I know. ). It sourced the Dark Empire Sourcebook that it could consume a planet within several months. That is if you left one or several alone on a planet. They are also programmed to upgrade themselves so no two WDs end up alike. Nevertheless, they could not be destroyed by conventional methods and they could make more of themselves. A WD is more efficient than a DS as it could consume a planet within several months (of course this varies depending on the size of the planet), all the while improving itself and build countless numbers of various ship types.
  11. Borg Cube meet World Devastator. World Devastator meet Borg Cube. Now play nice.......... OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! STOP EATING HIM! *Smacks WD* This is why you don't have any friends! Through a fleet of WD's at the Borg and let the Borg experience irony. I haven't read a lot of ST books (it has been at least a decade since I last read one) but isn't the Genesis Wave caused by a race outside of the Fed alliance? If so then we can't use that. Even if you can use it, it still pales in comparison to the Sun Crusher. A starfighter sized ship that can obliterate star systems and is all but impervious to weapons fire. It even survived a glancing shot from a superlaser (from the prototype DS).
  12. Sun Crusher (can survive being inside the center of a star and is immune to basically every ship weapons available and carried missiles that were designed to cause supernovas in stars. I think it was finally destroyed when it was towed to a black hole.) Galaxy Gun (at max setting, can vapourize a planet. Each missile is armoured, shielded and has defensive weaponry to defend itself as it heads to its target. Think VOY's Dreadnaught and scale it to be able to vapourize a planet.) World Devastators (basically worse than the Death Stars. While the DS' destroyed worlds, the WD eat them up and use the materials to turn out ships and improve themselves and even create more WDs. Attacking ships would end up being eaten. The only canonical way they were destroyed was when Luke and R2D2 managed to create a virus that caused the WDs' droid brains to attack each other.) Death Stars (1,2 and the prototype) Centerpointe station Super Star Destroyers (Eclipse class had a mini superlaser) Darksaber (pared down DS, that was basically engine, power source, control room and superlaser) The Tarkin (similar to the Darksaber but better built) Eye of Palpatine (a 19,000 kilometer battlemoon) Yeah.... It is still a curbstomp. Poor Feddies. The GE had a FLEET of World Devastators and those suckers could build more of themselves and build droid controlled fighters and other ships. Very heavily shielded that it could resist pinpoint turbolaser fire. Given the size of the Empire, if they chose to build more of those superweapons, the Fed Alliance would just crumble into dust.
  13. With the GE going for a curbstomp on the Fed Alliance just by ignoring the EU, adding it would be a crime against humanity. Do you really hate the Feds?
  14. Just by sheer weight of ship numbers and industrial capacity alone is enough to give the Galactic Empire an overwhelming edge.

That is very good to hear.
  16. Easy, either mock him or whenever he posts a topic, debate it, just not with him. Let's say he started a My little Pony vs a MACO soldier. After his first initial post, ignore him. Then we can all debate the topic amongst ourselves without involving Jason. He contributed by starting a topic and then we take over. A most awesome compromise. lol

Not only that but Keanu and the other guy whose name I've forgotten are going to be either writing the script or are in charge or both.

    Duke Nukem Forever - Finally

From what I understand, the game did not deliver up to the hype. Judging by the reactions of those that played it, the game is mediocre at best. Still, if I could afford it, I'd buy it this instant.
