Let big part problem first if UFP losing or my theory UFP winning thing start turn around in Yesterday Enterprise timeline not be important the point war over by the time Enterprise C end in that timeline USS Enterprise D guessing she there not some other UFP starship  would welling send Enterprise C crew suicide mission when Klignon and UFP war over. Klingon Empire likely surrender part reason war going so badly UFP was they so overconfident not take Klingon seriely. I maybe the Caption guess ethic reason allow return complete mission because they want to.
