    Enterprise-D Vs Covenant Destroyer

"0.108C"? Ah, maybe I'm just tired but isn't that closer to 10% the speed of light than less than 1% (light travels 150,000 odd kilometers in over eight minutes)? Star Trek: Nemesis that clone guy has time to react to the Ent-E moving at half or full Impulse - the Ent-E at close range slowly accelerates towards his ship and he has time to stand there in shock before impact. The Torpedoes were fired 19 seconds before being reported as crossing 300,000 kilometers in 2 seconds. Otherwise known as .5 C. I think I was wrong on that given they quickly accelerated after the ship moving at 100 million kilometers per hour. Picard order either half or full Impulse in Nemesis at very close range and you could see the Ent-E slowely accelerate and the crew of the ship they rammed had time to stand there in shock for a short amount of time. Also please provide a showing of 0.25C or 0.8 C being their standard combat speed.

Fastest speed that they have to accelerated up to is 100 million klilometers per hour in TFoR when the Spartans go after the ship that had fought with the Commonwealth. We've seen both UNSC and Covenant ships easily accelerating across tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of kilometers in no time at all. And in one of those cases it was a heavily damaged UNSC frigate with a more massive Covenant ship tacked on and it did 10,000 kilometers in 18 seconds (First Strike). You mean the Kig-yar who didn't have real warships and were fighting an enemy that didn't have warships and was mostly limited to slow moving asteroid bases? Anywhere from low thousands of kilometers up to 100,000 kilometers as standard, with one showing that can be taken as multi-light second range when we're told a pair of Plasma Torpedoes fired 19 seconds ago are about to cross 300,000 kilometers in 2 seconds (TFoR). The fact they first state it would take an hour to remove the crust yet took out 30% of the crust in the opening volley proves this was some form of overcharged weapons attack and not normal firepower level (or do Star Trek ships fire a lot slower than I remember all of a sudden?). Didn't claim anything about special weapons just that they were using overcharged shots, and just because they fired the torpedoes means nothing since it is more likely their energy weapons were doing most of the damage. Also proof that the energy weapons we see are not NDF-like in some form (the fact the visuals don't match up with the claims is more proof that some form of NDF-like effect was going on). And proof of this is? Given the visuals do not agree with a DET based attack removing 30% of the crust in the opening shots it is one way to explain it as a massie overcharge attack using NDF-like effects on max, which explains things pretty nicely and keeps it in line with standard MT range firepower. Off the top of my head for maneuverability is that small Kig-yar ship (that is just what I assume it is anymore due to how small it was and that fact we only ever say the Kig-yar on it) dodge/shoot down half the 180 Archer missiles coming after it that are known to be able to quickly accelerate up to 0.1 C in a very shot amount of time. And it isn't, standard Halo space combat has ships fighting thousands to tens of thousands of kilometers from each other and ships accelerating at 1000+ Gs when needed.

A Technical Analysis of the Irken.

*The real Chuck Norris sees this imposter and destroyers him and returns the Irkens* Chuck Norris is not pleased with you, Khas. *Sixteen-thousand kilometer long Core Superdreadnought with a hull made out of Neutronium and enough firepower to lay waste to entire solar systems in seconds appears above Khas and destroyers him*

*Ahem* Chuck Norris is the God of the Irkens, and the Downstreamers are his childern (the Downstreamers are what the XEELEE want to be when they grow up). A Technical Analysis of the Irken.

*Blink* We already just got done beating up the 31st Century Feds so that no longer works due to those anti-time travel shield thingies. How? I looked at the show and took the bulk of evidence to come to my conclusions (which I will admit I have taken a lot of and built off of what I found in old threads over at SB). And yet in "Battle of the Planets" we can clearly see asteroids a large percentage the size of Mars, and later we see Mars ram ships in the Armada and their easily in the multi-hundred kilometers looking at how large they are next to it. And why would they include target not meant for military conquest? We also clearly see the galaxies marked for invasion in form of large arrows going from Irk to those galaxies (like we do with the smaller marked planets on the map). And we have no reason to believe that and every reason to believe he is sub-standard (at least when he's not in the competent mode). Everything Zim has is outdated and junk from what we know (outside of a few things that he got himself instead of the Tallest sending him a create of S.I.R Units that would blow him up). *Sics Downstreamers on Daleks and Gurren Lagen and sits back laughing as the entire multiverse falls on top of them*

And things can change in two years. Which they have given the latest canon info confirms the higher end firepower (though I have really just tone down and go for the low single digit GT range which fits in nicely). And the Covenant still hold a vast advantage in the form of standard faster sub-light combat speeds and weapons range. Planet Jackers. Stole the Earth. Zims tiny little outdated Voot Cruiser cut through it in minutes and has been calc at a low end of 600GT/s. There is so much I can go over.

A Technical Analysis of the Irken.

Which is proven wrong by the way Irkens use planets at random, the map that shows multiple galaxies marked for invasion behind the Tallest in "The Nightmare Begins", and in "Backseat Drivers From Beyond The Stars" when Zim states the Tallest are closer than ever before... and Zim flys The Massive through multiple GALAXIES IN LESS THAN HALF AN HOUR. The bulk of evidence speaks for itself. True. He would be Sub-Standard. Which is why we use him as the low end for what top of the line S.I.R Units can do. Where do we see any damage at all from the asteroids? We see it fly through a planet and then a star (the only damage we ever see beyond that from the Resisty ship is from the star) and then through the asteroids which did zero damage. Also please see "Battle of the Planets" where Mars flys through an asteroid field with large non-spherical asteroids that are not that much smaller. Later when it flys through the Armada we see that the ships it impacts are around 25% its size - the damn Shuvver Escort Firgates, easily 500 kilometers long from that scene. No, (unless you are going to claim the Irkens didn't have an Empire before OID I)this was the Irkens first attempt at UNIVERSAL conquest, or at least the largest yet of their inter-multi-galactic ones. *Khas's house begins to shake and he looks out the window only to see Mars falling down on him with Zim waving the Fist and shouting: "THE FIST IS MINE PUNY HUMANS!!! YOU OBEY THE FIST!"*

    1. Those ships had just been in 2-3 battles no more than half an hour before and were in the middle of making repairs. Start of TFoR mentions that a Covenant ships shields would need to be 2. Halo Canon policy New>Old. 3. The Ent-D has to be able to get in range of the Covenant ship. Given the Covenant ship has a standard higher weapons range and sub-light combat speed I am really doubting the Ent-D can get in range and stay close enough. It took them one hour to vaporize the oceans and melt the crust to an unknown depth. The first volley in The Die is Cast had them taking out 30% of the crust. I'm doubting that is normal and is far more likely a megacharged up attack that works mainly off the NDF effect (unlike Covenant glassing which we have as of TCP seen the charge time for Covenant plasma torpedoes) which would not have an effect on Covenant shields.

  11. “What began as a conflict over the transfer of conscious from flesh to machine escalated into a war that has decimated a million worlds. The Core and the Arm have all but exhausted the resources of a Galaxy in their struggle for domination. Both sides now crippled beyond repair, the remnants of their armies continue to battle on ravaged planets, their hatred fueled by over four thousand years of total war." ________________________________ Due to a mishap during the use of a Galactic Gate a Core Commander from the height of the Galactic War has been transported onto Coruscant at 1 BBY. The Core Commander starts rebuilding and plans to pattern the rest of the SW galaxy. Can Star Wars stop the never ending swarms of Core units, or will the Core pattern the entire SW galaxy?
  12. I don't deny that it takes a lot of energy, but I'm just going off what I recall reading in a thread on SB. Either way the manual mentions all units have a form of weak cloaking. And even without it Coruscant is a massive city world with plenty of areas for something even the size of a Core Commander to hide (say like the under city). Also, feel free to show outside of game mechanics that the Core Commander can still be seen with the cloak on. First they have to find the Core Commander and hope it hasn't already started the Swarm of Doom from that Metal Extractor. Bye-bye Imperial Center, hello New Core Prime.

  14. Good luck finding the Commander before its too late. Core and Arm units are invisible to all but the most advance of sensors. They are invisible in both visual and IR specturms. Emphasis mine. Hm, will just look up "Total Annihilation Intro" on Youtube.

    Star Trek Weapons Range

Will I think its time to put together a list of Trek weapons range to see what is the most common. First place I checked was ST-v-SW () so I'll post what I found. Enterprise “Fortunate Son“: 8 kilometers (plasma cannon) TOS: “The Changeling†90,000 kilometers (Photon Torpedoes) TOS “Journey to Babel“: 75,000 kilometers (Phasers) TOS “The Deadly Years“: 50,000 kilometers (Romulan weaponry) TOS “Patterns of Forceâ€: 2000 kilometers (Phasers firing on rocket) TNG “The Arsenal of Freedomâ€: >200 kilometers TNG “A Matter of Honorâ€: >40,000 kilometers (Klingon weaponry) TNG :The Woundedâ€: 190,000 kilometers (Photon Torpedoes), 150,000 kilometers (Phasers), 200,000 kilometers (Cardassian weaponry) DS9 “The Search, Pt. Iâ€: >100,000 kilometers (Dominion weaponry) DS9 “Return to Graceâ€: 100,000 kilometers (Caradassion weaponry) VOY “Non Sequiturâ€: 5000 kilometers (Phasers firing on a small ship) VOY “Basics, Pt. Iâ€: 2000 kilometers (Phasers), 4,500,000 kilometers (Kazon-Nistrim Torpedoes) DS9 “A Call to Armsâ€: 10 kilometers (Dominion/Cardassian weaponry) VOY “In the Fleashâ€: 4000 kilometers (modified torpedo) VOY “Equinox, Pt, IIâ€: 30,000 kilometers (Phasers) ____________________________________________________ Ones that I can recall off the top of my head now. TNG "Survivors": Ships are within visual range. TNG "Best of Both Worlds": Ent-D closes to within visual range of Borg Cube. Star Trek: First Contact: Starfleet ships engaging Borg Cube well within visual range, Ent-E(D?) also closes to within close visual range of Borg Cube before engaging. Edit: Forgot to add this: So, what other ranges do we see in ST?

    SDN spam

Ok, some things I need to answer here: Because the size of the asteroid tells us how much you need to do X level of damage to it. Though I have not seen the scene in question if it only fragmented an asteroid about the same size as the Photon Torpedo that puts it in the low TONS range. Not Megatons or kilotons, low sub-kiloton range. Could you rephrase this? Because the way I'm reading this is you saying Kiloton>Gigaton. I would like to see the calcs in question, please. Even so that is in the outlier area of ST firepower. You would be correct if they were using Phasers and not a (micro?) Torpedo. Correct here. Also, been some time since I've been over to Factpile so does anyone have a link to the last page of the thread in question?

  19. *Falls out of chair and spills soda* *Turns around and turns on multi-hundred kilometer long and tall wall of TV's that show every universe from the start of Operation Impending Doom III having their worlds being turned into parking lots and all other sorts of things* The Tallest have character shields strong enough to survive hundreds of Earth years with Zim. ZIM. Zim who once farted and obliterated the entire planet he was on Death Star-style (Unaired episode “The Trialâ€. Also Zim and survived it). They simply point Zim and GIR at them and set back and watch will they have some Bridge Drones get the inter-universal portal device working and call in Popeye to help if Zim and GIR fail. And after all that they have the Planet Jackers throw them into a black hole. If that doesn't work they get their new ally Coop to recton them away with Megas.

    Vasari (SoaSE) Vs. Star Trek

The wiki should have all the info you need on what the Vasari can do. Just a few things off the top of my head: 1. Standard weapons ranges in mid to high single digit thousands of kilometers. 2. Ship acceleration able to cross these same distances in a short amount of time if this part of in-game is anything to go by. 3. Ships can be built in minutes it seems given the fact their carrier has the ability to build new forces in a middle of a battle.
