YAY! *rubs hands with glee*

Unless I'm missing an obscure EU refererence, the Star Wars universe has a conspicuous lack of any sort of beaming technololgy. Not just human beaming technology, but beaming of any kind. I wonder what would account for the Wars universe to be so behind in this area of technology.

Wow. he's still at it?

Oh good lord. Phasers are NADION weapons, not graviton! This guy must be smoking the good shit.

Smileys still have to be worked on. -
Brian Young is doing a video commentary and case study on warp strafing. He currently is looking at Journey to Babel, Elaan of Troyus, and The Ultimate Computer. Anyone else know of any episodes which support the idea of warp strafing?

Are you totally deaf now, Enigma? Or just partially? If you like, I can try to transcribe it for you, if that will help.
-
Dunno. However, before Enigma claims that somehow in 80 years all the races in Trek somehow lost this ability, I'd like to mention how ridiculous that idea is.

Is it just me, or is Jason getting more and more perverted? -
That's for damn sure. Once Kirk's shirt is ripped, it activates his superpowers of awesomeness. He says so himself.

And it will keep going and going and going. -
Wow. Just wow. I'm impressed. I don't have an artistic bone in my body.
-
OK. He's given me permission to link to the file. You'll have to download it, since he's not able to post it on YouTube yet. http://www.scifights.net/warpstrafing.mov

My old friend Brian Young has a YouTube channel dedicated to his excellent commentaries of sci-fi. He delves into versus, technical commentaries, and show reviews. This thread is for the discussion of his videos and the announcements of new videos. His YouTube channel is found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/babtech To start this thread off, I'm posting his excellent commentary of body armor in Star Trek.

Brian Young completed his case study. Quite conclusively, I might add. As soon as he makes it public, I'll post it.

How a single Intrepid-class starship can defeat the Death Star.

If a cloaking device was used, this could maintain the element of surprise. Not to mention the fact that 0.8c is pretty damn fast. Depending on the distance, they might not have enough time to react at all. -

Oh dear. Logic AND math. Not a bad tactic. I could see it being something Sisko would try, I don't see Janeway doing it though. -

They've blocked us? I'm not sure if I should be offended or honored. -
Yeah, after I realized this was talking about ground missles, it wasn't as big of a deal.

Were SW's Galactic Empire to enter the ST Milky Way's Alpha Quadrant DURING the Dominion War.
Tyralak replied to Afishymeadow's topic in Versus Debates
Even if that's the case, tabletop RPGs aren't even C canon. They're a step below that. -

Exactly. No reliable source. -

Well, considering novelizations of the FILMS are considered G canon, and tabletop RPGs are actually in a level below C-canon, I'm going to go with the novelization.
