To throw my two cents into this - There is no evidence the UFP doesn't have a ground army. There is evidence in multiple locations that it has another branch of their military structure (ie col. west), and nor was there any noteworthy event that said the M.A.C.O's were disbanded. They could of been absorbed into starfleet (ie what happened to the bajoran militia.) and became a separate ground army only used during intense combat situations. I mean shit we don't send Naval officers to secure ground locations do we? There i have made my post for the weekend.

On gothic you don't see the blur THAT badly, but yes on the light background it shows up. Reason why it looks blury in the back is because it is blurred I did that for two reasons So I can cover up a editing snafu i did Because it doesn't just look like the edge of an image. Otherwise no real reason why it's like that ^^

Already tried the bright green it just blends with the destroyer. I'll go some red color and see how that turns out.

If it's the same color as the text it doesn't show up it has to be a dark color.

No, i don't give a rats butt if you like the idea or not it's happening. What this actually entails is a lot more complex than people think so let me explain a lot of whats happening. The Arcade The arcade was taken offline due to it trying to use an insane amount of memory for no reason. The bug has been filed with it's developers and it's being worked on. It will come back just as soon as possible. Share threads on facebook and other social areas To assist in getting the word out about ASVS, starting soon at the bottom of every thread you will see numerous "bookmark" buttons which allow you to share it on multiple social sites (digg, facebook, myspace etc). Doing this will show it on your wall and thus, sharing it with all your friends thus spreading the word more ASVS Fan page on facebook This is already done. http://www.facebook....115444808481653 This also shares posts from the debate areas, ops and main engineering and posts them on your home page on facebook letting you know a new thread has been started. And with how jason is, that happens quite often. ASVS literally on facebook While with the next version of our software has a lot of integration into various social sites including shared status updates and so on, we will take it one step further and allow you to actually browse the website FROM Facebook! Why? Because it just gives one more avenue of advertising. You can also then invite your friends, spread the word and so on. Okay, why? Simplest way to explain this is duh, advertising = more people posting. Facebook has millions of users. Will we reach them all? Most likely not however it helps get our name out into new areas. There is one other facet we are looking into and I have already gone about getting us setup that route. It will bring trekkies as well so that would be a huge plus but I'm not at liberty to discuss it due to my agreements with certain places. These are just some of the ways I'm actively trying to get ASVS more noticed. While troll sites and so on are all fine and dandy, expanding our horizon gives us more unique people that'll come here and of course say WTF are these people smoking. Specifically jason. Also just to make it much more clearer, If you log in using facebook connect, it activates a new account (password does not get saved into our db), and you can decide if you want your about me info from facebook posted, your profile picture etc. NOTHING is mandatory. When you first log in with it, it'll offer you the opportunity to set a display name instead of using your facebook name. Even if you browse it from facebook, you can still log into ASVS using your ASVS account information or create a new one.

Oh yes. If you link up your facebook account it does NOT store your facebook password.

okay i'll admit this got my attention when i saw it in my news feed on facebook lol.

So, i said in an earlier post in main whatever the hell it's called, that I was already working on ways to promote the site. A few of these ideas are waiting for the next version of ipb to come strolling in soon which will be 1337 sauce. Mostly, the ideas are to make it More accessible - This comes in the form of using multiple login options as people tend to not want to have to register everywhere. More visible - While making it visible to raging trollers is all fine and dandy, we also need real debate which sadly enigma and jason suck at. With these two ideas in mind, I'm please to introduce the ASVS facebook fan page. Why this i'm sure you're asking. Well for starters, a LOT of people use facebook. I'm assuming you didn't even know you could log into this forum with facebook did you? Well you can. Our fan page not only gives you a way to freely help us advertise ASVS to all your friends, but it also shows the latest from our VS forums and Operations so you can always be up to date on the latest junk going on! More ways to help get the word out on other mediums besides trolling slots are in the works, including more social site interactions, Other ways to drag people here, and so on. If you have ACTUAL suggestions (besides spamming sites), please feel free to post them in main engineering. Any stupid ideas (or obvious retarded ideas) will be removed or my foot shoved up your toosh. One of the two. Enjoy.
