If a Space Station like Deep Space Nine could hold of a fleet Klingon starships (DS9 The Way of the Warrior) Then Space station in Yesterday enterprise would have been much more costly in such a war. USS Enterpise D was not shielding the USS Enterpise C from the attacting Birds of prey. She mostly would have destory the three bird of preys.

USS Enterprise D from Yesterday Enterprise was much more military class starship then Galaxy class starships see any other Star Trek shows.

If Space Station likes deep Space Nine could hold on like that against a Kligon fleet then. Then Space station during Yesterday Enterprise would be able to put up a much bigger fight. Klingon Empire ate up more half Starfleet. Then UFP most likely ate up 80% Klingon Empire maybe more.

You are forgetting two things about what happen. Nova class sensors most likely better then most starship in UFP and the Empire. Goal would be to hangar bay and got these plans back. If the Nova class starship blow up in that star destroyer hanger bay while Death Vader in it by by Vader. Maybe even by by star destroyer because smell blast made. As for the force it self can not be used read minds or senses someone going gets sense feeling other people around you but that it.

If the UFP crew could beam of the starship and set off the auto-self-destruct codes blow Nova class starship while Lord Vader is on that Nova class starship. Doing that would most likely do some damage to a Star Destroyer.

Defiant class starships not even have to cloak. As we see many times in Star Terk Federation starship were able to make themselves to be unseen by enemy sensors with very little real information about how they work. I could not see the Death Star being much different.

First a Defiant class starship has landing on deck for My link. The Defiant class alot effect senser jaming systoms on aboard .
