I could think another way Galaxy class starship could turn a ISD to ruins just use a few tricobalt devices

I could think simple way to make hole a lot bigger just us a few tricobalt devices. Then again if Defiant armed with these weapons kinds weapons in longer numbers there is no real need to go near that hole in the Death star. Ten or twenty of these weapons would blow Death star to bits.

That might make sense for the fact back shields off line. We also most remember that Commander Riker said that we had got damage to our shields and burn main defector dish and warpcore from using that weapon. It also would not take more 24 for hours for them to got back full shield strongth.

I only see tie fighters have a fighting chance stopping a Defiant class starship or any Federation starships for that matter if they waiting right near that hole on the Death star other wise it just issue speed. A Defiant class starship auto pilot could reach that hole in the Death star before tie fighter could even be launched. So they have to wait their way before this battle even take place. Other wise no time to luanch excape pode none or less try stop it with ties fighters.

I take the feedback damage to the shields as much more likley. Because they talked about shield damamge.

Make more senses one want to think Fact USS Enterprise D could withstand level a little above 12,000 means C and Fact Date said fire photon torpedo so close would with out shield could destroy USS Enterprise D I think even strong evidence back claim your clain even more so.

USS Defiant is more maneuverable then a Y-wing and fasters. USS Defiant like all Federation starships has some from technology makes weapons often miss by tricking the sensors. Other wise you have a lot explaining to do why Star Terk Gernations that Bird Pray miss so many times. So no reason to think big guns around Dearth star will do much better so even with out the cloak devices. One man tie fighters will be harmless to USS Defiant. As for far hole goes most likely land shuttle right near it and few Federation crews carries piece photon torpedo and put together lit drop.

USS Defiant can fire phasers and photon torpodoes in the backwards beyound there is very a lot more maneuverable then Y wing. To make matter worst Y wing Squadron the USS Defoamt has senser jaming systoms seem cause great amount problems to the Jem'Hadar attack ships. A Nebula Class starship can hit smell shuttlecaft I think a Defient class starship would have easy time knock out a Y wing Squadron.

Y wing poor maneuverable and it is very low compare to other one man fighters. USS Defiant is fast and very maneuverable. So one on One a Y wing not have fight chance. However Y wing Squadron of about 12 fighters be not be a fair fight. USS Defiant could keep distance destroy fighters one by one. Because Defiant class starships faster and more maneuverable than a Y wing. Only way Y wing squadron have chance is if sensors a defiant class starship are off line . One Y wing iron cannon would not have the strength to disable a Defiant class starship. It just to smell however 6 Y wings going fire iron cannons might have strength 12 Y wings fire iron cannon would most likely have the strength. Then could stable Defiant class starship in the back.

I am trying to say that the damaging of the shields was due to splash damage from firing the amped up Main defector dish blast

I was saying damage from blast of main defector dish. That causes the forward shield to get down to 58%. That what I am thinking happen with the information I have.

I could buy aruement if was not for the fact USS Enterpise D SAUCER SECTION has to have own shields. Forward shields down 58 percent does.

I was saying from 30,000km was suidice for USS Enterpise not 40,000. If heat will not do it what else could USS Enterpise D destory it.

IF the USS Enterpise D fire closer then 40,000 km the USS Enterpise D would destory by the blast. Because did how close USS Enterpise have to be to got damge. So known you do the math find out for yourself. Here how I did it read Check out nuclear bomb blast it lose about half it every 2 miles. 30,000 kms is about 18,645 miles. Times it by two then times it by 720,000 and you got 4,428,000 degree Celsius the real amount heat the USS Enterprise D hit that burg cube with.. If accurse 30,000 km is suicide with the USS Enterprise D using her main defector dish as a weapon with her shields up. I do not think a star destroyer it could withstand that kind of heat. If say I am wrong did the math yourself and show me.

I am not suggesting that at all about the main defector dish. What I am suggesting when main defector dish beam hits it target that the amount heat 4,428,000 degree Celsius it give off. Fact when using the main defector dish as a weapon they need to evacuate the entire forward half of the secondary hull and the lower three decks of the saucer because radicals danger. The energy levels have to give few seconds to build up before it can be fire .A galaxy class starship defector dish may well be able to take many times heat levels of Galaxy class starship hull.

It is also possible that and Cardassians and Romulans Star ships were using tricobalt devices instead Photon torpedoes in this design more planet attack. I also already said Galaxy class starship defector dish more power weapon anything Star Destroyer can give off.
