It also very likely UFP by this time had upgraded all her Galaxy class starships to military need UFP. So it likely UFP would have anywhere from 15 or more Galaxy class starships. That means the UFP in theory with that many Galaxy class starship could be caring 60,000 troops all over place if only Galaxy class starship carries troops. Guess doing something like this monthly. Both the saucer section and star drive had own shields generators. Because Saucer section can hold off a attack and buying time for Star dive to escape. Star drive has aft shields and some ventral shielding while to are together Saucer section hold forward and shields and some of ventral shielding.

I talking about commandoes not the Defiant. The Defiant has systems that make impossible for sensor got good lock on it. Other wise explain why the Dominion smell starship have such a hard time getting a lock on it.

Turbolaser are not design to hit targets that smell and defiant class starship release them near that hole anyway. That problem solve the other interest point you make is they can not beam objects to a target. How is Caption Janeway going to transporter food and medical supplies and that baby back to the planet surface in that is the case in Star Tenk Voyager, "Friendship One" if Pattern enhancers can not help beam objects to the surface?

I think about spacesuit Mr. Spock used in Star Terk The Motion Picture. If that kind spacesuit was to be used then it easily task to sending in that commandoes team. The commando team might be able to us Pattern enhancers to bring big photon torpedoes or they could carries smell Micro Photon torpedoes.

You theory on feed back energy goes so far. The Saucer part of the Galaxy class starship has it own shields. The Star drive part of a Galaxy class starship has it own shields as will. What you did say about feedback damage internal to the ship explains why Galaxy class starship did not have any shields in it back because of it because Star drive did take a lot of damage. But forward shields were at 58% meaning something had to have damage the Saucer section of the shields.
