Its a great read for fans of the space opera genre as well as fans of the Atomic Rockets site. It features relatively well fleshed out characters, most of whom are neither particularly Star Trek levels of sanitary nor neo Galactica levels of nihilistic and very well described, very entertaining space and ground action with extremely realistic physics. It was a book that really got me started along the route of not fretting overly much over how much megattonage a 'verse could throw around and to be more entertained by how it uses what it has.
