Superanna 0 Posted February 22, 2010 While I applaud Abrams for his fearlessness in tackling the Star Trek universe, I did notice that he chose to play it safe with young Spock. Particularly in the area of facial hair. Recall in "The Cage" the flash backs of young Spock had him sporting some remarkably voluminous eyebrows. Leading us to believe that either Vulcans eyebrows become smaller as they age, or he discovered tweezers only in his later years. This curiosity, along with the precedent of goatees=evil Vulcan (as set down in "Mirror Mirror")just makes me wonder if this issue of Vulcan facial hair will ever be explored as fully as it deserves to be.
